CommTech: Networking Day 2

Today in CommTech we learned about devices and which belong to each step of the OSI Reference Model. In layer 1, which is Physical, the devices are Hub and Repeater Media. In layer 2, Data Link, there's a NIC and a Bridge, along with a switch. In Layer 3 Network, there's the router. And in the remaining layers there is only the software programs of a computer. We also learned the different types of media and how fast they travel.  Along with that, we learned how each device works and how many of them cause a collision domain, which is  a place where collisions of data occur. Tomorrow Ms. Rod won't be here, so although we get to catch a break from Networking, we'll probably be starting on getting ideas for our website!
